28mm WWII Russian Females by Elite Wargames and Models
Just seen the new Russian figures from Elite Wargames and Models
Im told they will be at Salute with them .The figure on the far right looks like a big girl now how do you think she looks like ? https://elitewargamesandmodels.com/
25mm Napoleonic's British V French
Back in the distant past well 50 years a go plus. One of my first army I built when I stopped buying
Airfix figures was a Napoleonic one well both sides and over the years I have added to them .
Over the years swards and bayonet have broken some I have replaced but keeping up with it is like paint the Forth road bridge .
Just a small skirmish game 5 regiments a side . Figures and Hinchliffe and Minfigs and a couple that I do not know now from wear they come from.
28mm Romans First Games with them at WAR
Ok before I start I should have gone through the battle board before hand . You know what Wargaming like must get on the table fast .
First Game Mike used his Strathclyde/Welsh .My lads got shot in the back from off table archers
wear did that come from can I fire back no ho why not because you can not . Game when down hill from that time well it did for me . Lost that one on figure count . Make a note my buy Roman cavalry
Second game George wants to have a go at my Romans no Im happy to use my Anglo /Danes Im out voted by 4 to 1 ok Romans it is . George did not advance far from his start line but I did got my archers in range of his slinger and had a few hits . George likes hiding behind hills He then tried to take 2 figures off one of my archer units for exhaustion having give them 2 fatigued markers George they not levies show you the book .
Romans Third game Hand over my Romans to Mike to take on Rolly .Rolly used Georges Anglo/Danes Did not take any pick if that one .As this was Rolly second game of SAGA it was a slow game and Rolly having seen Georges tactic of hiding behind a hill Mike had to go forward
Romans won 1 lost 1 your guess is as good as mine on the third game .
25/28 Romans for SAGA
Ok I did not want to do a second army for saga but with my friends having more the one and buying
& The Crescent & Cross rule books at Warfare and the Aetius & Arthur for Christmas
So looked out my Prince August figures not bad all made the move one or two shields missing and a few spears needed to be put back on .Look out my Balista or as I would say a arrow bunger 24" range
yep ill have some think like that in my army get my one back on the Normans.
So what would I do go and order some Plastic figures from Gripping Beast. Nice figures when made up .My Painting not brilliant these days but they will died just as well as any figures.
25mm A.C.W. campaign
Will all my ACW figures now painted and that's taken over 30 years. I know its a long time but then we do paint other things do we not?
Now most campaigns start with a map good place to start but why make things easy .So just lade out a table diced to see wear on the map the table well be magic. When the next table go down it can join the map if it next to the first table then it has to join up but if not all's well. So far so good keep up
All regiments are had minima training so none have had any battle experience and march discipline is poor ( dice will see when they get on the table ) Making Morale poor as well
Union has 4 Regiments of foot and one Cavalry
Confederates 4 Regiments of foot
Both sides are to take and hold town (Smithville) as it has a watermill .
A USA Regiment on the table Mover 1
CSA Regiment on the table move 1
Move 3 USA cavalry on table by move 4 over taken infantry on the road
Move 5 CSA has 2 more regiments on the table moving down the road
Move 6 USA Cavalry now near the bridge
All that can be seen through my periscope of the CSA troops on the bridge not a lot
Move 7 Lances move in to contacted
Melee Lancers win first melee then Move 8 second melee Infantry win
Moral both units want to go home so pull back
